The Publisher’s editor has returned the 4th edited version of APOK Derailed. Immediately revision #27 commenced and a meeting with my account manager identified that we are in great shape. I have one more editor awaiting any revisions that I make. We are nearing the end and, in saying that, there will be a lot more back and forth work between me and the Publisher. Now it’s a matter of cleaning up and preparing the work to be presented officially. Besides the revisions, now it’s about focusing on all the little things that I don’t think about normally. Design and creation of the cover, back cover, synopsis, credits, acknowledgements, copyright, and more. I am very excited and thankful for the guidance and expertise Friesenpress offers.
Talking about expertise, I’ve spoken to someone involved in Special Effects. We are discussing the possibility of a partnership for a Book Launch. There are many things to think about which includes permits and various other aspects that I will learn. For those that were at the original release, I plan on not making the same mistake. If we can make this work anyone attending the book launch won’t be disappointed. I’ll keep you updated about that.
Marketing has moved further into the spotlight. There has been lots of work on images and pictures to promote APOK and APOK Derailed. Believe it or not, this takes a lot of time and planning. As I have mentioned in previous posts, writing encompasses many full time professions, including Advertising and Marketing. In no way I’m not saying am I an expert, but what I am saying is that it is a full time profession, which means it takes a lot of time, and when I add the other full time occupations, writer, editor while working a full time job, TIME is something that shouldn’t be wasted if I want to keep my timelines.
It’s all about Making History, 20 years from now I don’t want to look back and wish I had done more. If you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know. I have several ideas that I will be sharing and looking for some outside direction.
Until next time, this is;
