Crossfire, the finale of the APOK trilogy is a gripping, fast paced page-turner that you will not be able to put down. Walton’s writing style has the reader immersed in the story line and characters, good and evil up to the final page. If you are a fan of multi-best selling authors such as Baldacci and Sanford this is the series for you. A classic story of good vs evil that will have you hooked until the masterful ending. Who will prevail in the end, and how, are impossible to predict with the odds stacked highly against APOK. A must read for those who enjoy fast paced, action filled novels, and this series is by a Canadian author.

I just finished reading the ARC (advanced reader copy) of CrossFire by Michael Walton — the third book in the APOK trilogy. Based on the author’s professional experience in law enforcement, he has a unique and first-hand perspective with writing about the subject.  Out of the three books, this one focuses on tying up the story. If you hadn’t read the first two books you could easily jump on board with this one. Though I would recommend reading the first two, because they’re great with a lot of fast paced action 🙂 As a female reader, one thing that stood out for me was the way the author made the book very inclusive. A lot of strong female representation.  It was refreshing to have women characters in positions of authority and power. Overall, a great story filled with intensity, humanity, and a strong moral compass.

APOK Crossfire is the third book in the APOK series by Michael Walton. Colonel Mejia “APOK” continues his quest for global safety, while at times ignoring his own. The reader is transported from one action packed adventure to another. I burned through this book in three days, unable to put it down once I started. A great, well thought out adventure novel. Congratulations to Michael Walton on his latest offering.

APOK CrossFire reads like an armchair action movie, from start to finish - vivid imagery, believable (but often ruthless) characters, and an antihero at the centre of it all. It begins with high momentum immediately, introducing the reader to several characters within the first few pages, and continues throughout by tying everything together in an action-packed, explosive conclusion. Throughout this thrilling finale to the APOK series, the reader cannot help but fall in love with Miguel, torn between the loss of those around him and bringing a sense of justice to a very corrupt world. I simply could not put this incredible adventure down!
