We are nearing the end. Only 2 more months!
In saying that I had a very busy weekend going through Revision #31, inspecting the Publisher’s punctuation editor’s corrections. Word by word, line by line, I read through the novel and made sure that it was as tight and clean as possible. Reaching the last word in the book, yet again, I found myself gasping for air… You’ll understand soon enough!
Only a few things left to do before the book becomes available…now it moves back to the publisher for final touches.
The contest winners have been selected and contacted. If you have received an email please respond ASAP so that I can get you your prize.
Thanks again for all of your support,
Mike
TURNING WEAKNESS INTO STRENGTH
Having struggled with Mental Health post accident I know how difficult it is to regain health, both physical and mental. Here are a couple of my tricks that helped me reclaim my life.
Exercise – Start small, but challenge yourself. Exercise is clinically proven to improve mood, and I am a firm believer of it. It also helps to build confidence and energy. It doesn’t have to be a marathon, start small and keep building. By tackling and conquering one task at a time, you’ll feel and see your confidence grow.
Good Music – in the past, I could listen to anything, however post-accident I was on the hunt for songs or music with a positive meaning. I began living my own motivational movie and found music that would fit in the soundtrack. Every little bit counts. With so much negative around us, we need to balance out the day by inserting good words that will help us see and be thankful for what’s around us.
Journaling – Start in the morning and don’t only catalog what you did, but plan for what you want to do and write out what you’re currently thankful for. Doing this gives us a starting point that we can look back and realize how far we’ve come. Don’t just count the monumental things, remember and focus on anything that brings you a smile…a sunny day, a rainy day, whatever it is, just be thankful.
Keep building on these ideas and you’ll find out that you have lots to be thankful for.
